My Bio
Hiya! I'm VioGreen77 (Aka Tekulo: Toa of Wind on BZPower, for any other BIONICLE fans out there. ^^).
Why am I drawing? Once upon a time, I was bored in study hall... It pretty much grew from there... I'm not a professional artist (in the traditional sense anyway), but recently I decided that I wanted a better artists' eye. And, well, what better way to do that than to draw?

My interests include BIONICLE, LEGO, Legend of Zelda, Phoenix Wright and other adventure games, reading books (Brothers Grimm FTW! ^^), a few anime and manga among other things.

So, I've been feeling a little bummed out this month. Stuff at work isn't going perfectly, but that's fine because I'm learning and I can improve over time.  I just wish I had more self confidence.  I haven't exactly had a huge supply of that over the course of my life, and I still have no idea how it works.  XP Other than that, I've just been feeling lonely this time of year.  Having a cat in between your arms really helps while you're typing depressing stuff, though.  I suggest you guys try it sometime if you have a cat.  They are a wonderful comfort (as are dogs). Anyway, I've just listened to "La vie de rose" and I love it.  It's got s

Frozen

0 min read
Yeah, so I still haven't seen the movie yet, but I'm getting excited.  I've read "The Snow Queen" by Hans Christian Andersen (apparently this story inspired the movie), and it's wonderful.  ^^ I also saw a clip for the song "Let it go" from the movie, and it's been stuck in my head after the third time I watched it.  XD All in all, while Frozen looks wildly different from the original tale, I'm still seeing a lot of promise with the characters and overall theme. I've heard good things (but I still want that snowman to die at the end of the film), and I'm excited to see it!

Happy New Year!

0 min read
As for me, I just have to work tomorrow until around 2 PM. After that I'm done with the holidays at work, and I am so glad the end of 2013 is here.  ^^ With any luck, things will slow down during the winter and I'll have some free time.  I feel like I haven't drawn in ages, though I'm actually getting excited about writing.  Over the past few months, I've been brainstorming like crazy for Dare to Dream as well as a few old characters of mine that I'd like to bring to life. This past year was a good one.  All in all, I'm happy with how things are going in my life thus far, and that alone makes me ecstatic. Anyway, I hope everyone takes som

Why....whyyyyy!!!
Why the hell do people drag politics into everything!!!! I wanna gnaw my leg off in frustration!!!

....i'm losing hope in humanity....
Cats should rule instead o_O
Hmm... I'm picturing a world similar to Ancient Egypt where we sift through the litterbox desert, grow catnip, harvest cream and catch fish for our fluffy overlords.

Actually, it doesn't sound half bad. Plus we'd just need a laser pointer or a well-placed mirror and we could easily overthrow them. Of course then humans would be in charge again, thus repeating the cycle...

But, yeah, I hate that too. =/

Wanna talk about it?
hahs xD
the litterbox desert....catnip fields...omg...i can picture it :D

true...we would prob find a way to destroy everything again -.-..

well....it's just....why do people drag politics into everything? and what the hell is up with politics in the first place? it's all running in circles...and just causing trouble...it splits people up..and it doesn't do anything to solve any big problems..
and you can't have a discussion before everyone drags politics to validate their arguments all the time...so what do we end up with? NOTHING -.-...just.....gaaah!!! it's frustrating...
Yeah, I remember when I got fed up with that. Basically everyone else in my family got into politics. They were all on the same side, too, so if I disagreed with anything or sounded like I disagreed with anything, I got an earful. It got to the point where I stopped looking into political issues and stopped forming opinions about current events.

Heck, every time the news came on, members of my family would start yelling about it. It wasn't the best mix for me, so I grew to resent that kind of behavior.

Still, it's not all bad. Because of that I've made friends with people who are highly religious where I am not, and I even have nice conversations with Jehova's witnesses when they come by (as opposed to people who normally send them away. XP). That's not to say I automatically agree with everything someone says. If I do disagree with something, I just say "Actually I don't agree with that." and try to explain to the best of my ability why. Keeping a level head in those situations is something important to me personally. I've seen my siblings raise their voices automatically when they disagree from being so involved. It's not pretty.

Basically, it's fine to disagree with friends. Of course I could go on and on and on about this, but I'll stop now. XP
